Super Quick Update 12-22-22
The last update was going to be the only one before the build is released, but since it seems like I'm just barely going to miss the end of this month as far as a release date, I figured I'd put a quick post out there to let you all know what's going on. Between the holidays and my other work I haven't had as many work sessions this month as I was planning to, so while progress is still smooth, it's also slower than I planned on it being.
Most of the art assets are now complete, and it's just a matter of running them through color and refinement, then putting them in the game. The programming work of this build is already laid out and actually very easy to complete since I spent the time to build templates and futureproof some elements of gameplay that I can now go back and plug all the new stuff into. Currently completed is the HUD and all its various elements as well as all but one of the enemies. Below is a sort of tentative queue listing what is left to do and how much time it will likely take. I'm currently expecting to release the build in the first week of January, but it may be sooner depending on how some of my IRL plans pan out.
Work in Progress:
1 Enemy to Complete (1 Work Day)
Finish Backgrounds and Visual Effects (1 Work Day)
Finish Interactive Scene Animations (1-2 Work Days)
Visual Refinements and Finishing Touches (1 Work Day)
Programming and Implementation (2-3 Work Days)
Testing and Review (1-2 Work Days)
So in total about 10 Work Days or so, which will pan out to about 2 weeks most likely. That may change depending on the speed at which I finish refinements and some tasks like the remaining enemy could very well take only a half day as it doesn't need too many art assets.
That all said, thank you so much to everyone who is following the project! This turned out to be a much bigger update than I planned as I decided to get a lot more of the foundation finished, but that has the nice benefit of making the revision builds that follow much easier to produce. Expect updates to quicken SIGNIFICANTLY once this build is released as I can focus in on specific additions and of course respond to feedback. I really appreciate the compliments and critique, and all of the support has been very uplifting~ Do look forward to the Enhanced Combat Demo, coming soon!

Late reply, but very strange indeed. I did tag this as a general/less important update so that might be related. Next update will have the new build and the "Major Update" tag so hopefully that will push to your feed as intended.
